‘Crib or Croust?’ at the Royal Cornwall Show 2013

Last week we shared a stand with the Cornwall Records Office and Cornwall Centre at the Royal Cornwall Show. It was a hot few days and we had plenty of visitors which was great!

‘Crib or Croust’ was the question of the day. After day 2 here is what the map looked like-

Crib or Croust?

For those not from Cornwall, in brief, ‘Crib’ or ‘Croust’ describes a mid morning (sometimes afternoon) snack… it is also used by some Cornish at lunchtime. In this map yellow is Croust and green is Crib. Behind the coloured dots were all sorts of interesting stories… had us thinking we should have brought an audio recorder!

The Show itself is huge- with a massive range of animals, events, activities, food, exhibits, and things to do and see. The stock is preened and groomed to look their best, and the judging process is great to watch- even to someone who has very limited knowledge of stock quality! The Show was a good chance for us to meet people from around Cornwall with future projects and plans in mind. Here a few shots from Thursday and Friday, from my brief stints looking around-
