Spending time in nature with George

Our relationship with nature is a theme which we regularly explore through our work. Whether it be making withy pots or sea swimming, there are huge benefits to being connected to the environment.

As part of our work with the Bude Climate partnership, we have been creating a series of digital stories and toolkits to help facilitate sharing around the wider theme of climate change. One of the recent digital stories we have made has been with the wonderful George, who reflects beautifully on his relationship with nature and what it can reveal and give us if we slow down and pay attention.

George's Story

We hope that George’s story will prompt many more stories and act as a springboard for discussion and learning. There are some interesting cross overs with other digital stories we’ve made in Bude, such as Hilary and Simon.

Hilary's Story

Hilary captures the nature on her doorstep through incredible photos and connects with her local community through presentations and campaigns.

Simon's Story

Simon spends much of his time around rivers testing water quality, monitoring   biodiversity and encouraging citizen scientists to get involved with stretches of their own rivers.

These digital stories are part of a larger series which we’ve made for the Bude Climate Partnership, who are working on positive climate change projects to future proof the Bude area. It is funded by the National Lottery.
