Children at Sennen School reflect on lockdown

As we enter another lockdown, we are tucked away opening envelopes filled with children’s responses to the first lockdown. This past year has been a challenging one to say the least and it’s so important to process what we’re going through, reflect together and share our stories. Whatever our age, we are all impacted by the pandemic and one of the kindest things we can do for each other is simply listen.

Children at Sennen School have done a brilliant job sharing their experiences of the first lockdown, including things and people they missed, messages they wanted to send (via telegram!), thank you letters and sensory reflections. These responses are part of our collaboration with PK Porthcurno, which saw us creating special packs for year 2, 3 and 4 children. Through a series of 5 sessions children were guided by their fabulous teacher to explore themes including communication, kindness, connection, community and Covid-19.
