Altarnun School at Rosehip Barn

Following a farm visit and series of follow-on workshops with Gemma Kempthorne from Trefranck farm, year 5 & 6 junior children choreographed and performed this brilliant piece of dance. Despite only having a morning back on the farm to film this, the children did a great job and enjoyed watching the film in their leavers assembly 2013.

Many of the movements within the first scene are based on shapes, actions, and objects from around the farm. The second scene shows the children creating the grain dryer that once ran from the barn; the children in yellow are the grain, in red are the flames, in blue & white is the grain dryer conveyor belt and in green and white are the 2 farmers. The last scene uses stop motion to show year 3 & 4 weaving stories onto sheep hurdles.

Well done Altarnun School- you were brilliant!
