Having a go at hand milking…

St.Just School milk the FACE cow!

On one of our recent workshops in primary schools, we were joined in the classroom by a rather large guest… a cow, complete with working udders, courtesy of Veronica from FACE (the charity Farming & Countryside Education). The children had great fun trying hand milking and learning about changes to farming practices.

Over the day Class 3 also produced some brilliant silhouette cut-outs of different aspects of farming; past, present and future. These will become part of a larger installation that will be exhibited in our group exhibition at Heartlands, as well as at this years Lafrowda celebrations in St.Just.

A big thanks to St.Just School and Mr.T for being so welcoming and well done Class 3!
